Langley BC: Vancouver actress and singer/song writer Kiara Hunter will join local performers onstage to help “kick-off” the “O CHRISTMAS TREE” light-up ceremony this Friday (Dec 15/06) at the Murrayville Fire Hall hosted by the Rotary Club of Central Langley starting at 6:00 PM.

“O Christmas Tree” Committee Chair John Campbell says that Rotary Club of Langley Central is proud to be part of this worthwhile fundraising campaign for the Langley Memorial Hospital Foundation and invites everyone to join in this colorful Christmas celebration and was pleased that the Kiara Hunter has agreed to be part of the entertainment. He was also happy to report that his committee has found sponsors for all the trees.

He added, “There’ll be free coffee, hot chocolate and cookies provided by Tim Horton’s to go along with the Christmas music and entertainment.”

Kiara Hunter is currently enjoying popularity and success as an established singer-songwriter. Kiara opened for Britain’s hot girl group, the Atomic Kittens on a 22 city tour of the U. K., propelling her single “Believe” to #9 on the European dance/pop charts.

Distributed by EMI, her debut CD “We Can Play” co-written with Grammy Award winning producer Ian Prince and Juno-nominated producer Chin Injeti (Snow, Maestro and The Barenaked Ladies) sold substantial units as an independent artist.

Kiara Hunter’s newest project is her starring role in the Bollywood feature film Sofia. Kiara plays the leading role of Sofia filming in New Delhi, India.

A highly recognized Vancouver entertainer, Kiara’s busy schedule also includes creating a comic strip/video game entitled “Huntergirl” – a futuristic Joan of Arc/Bladerunner action love story that revolves around a post apocalyptic time. The comic will be published online on Kiara’s web site early 2007.
